AIAA LFC Transition-Prediction Workshop

Organizing Committee: Geza Schrauf (Airbus, Ret.), Paul Vijgen (Boeing, Ret.), and Camli Badrya (UC Davis)

Announcement of 1st AIAA LFC Transition-Prediction Workshop

We invite all laminar flow control stakeholders to participate in the 1st AIAA LFC Transition-Prediction Workshop. This inaugural event represents a significant opportunity for collaboration and advancement in the field. We welcome your expertise and contributions to this important gathering of researchers, academics, and industry professionals.

Workshop goals:

  • Assess transition-prediction tools for Laminar Flow Control (LFC) using simplified geometries with suction,
  • Compare boundary-layer computations and stability methods (such as LST and PSE, as well as data-base approaches) for eN-transition prediction with suction, and
  • Compare and document results of boundary-layer and stability methods for suction LFC test cases.

Information on Workshop registration and other key dates is provided in the Workshop Flyer.
A description of the various test cases may be downloaded from here.
